Sequana or McPhail – LOVE! We enjoy our visits to winery. James and Kerry always makes time even when they are over the heads with grapes during harvest. They treat everyone like family and you reel connected with every bottle you open. Cheers to drinking AWESOME wine.

Thanks for the nice piece on this fine winemaker. We visited MacPhail two years ago during an infrequent West Coast visit. Despite being the 10th or 12th group to visit the winery that day, James took time to sit with my family and myself, poured a few wines and talked about life in Pinot-land. We treasure each bottle of MacPhail pinot that we have purchased and enjoy it each time we open one.

Thinking about Zinfandel the only words that come to my head aren’t well, words… It’s that sensation I get when I stick my nose in a big glass filled with the pleasant full bodied aromas of a good Zinfandel. Your spine relaxes, ahhh you breath deep in, once, again and one last time, oh, no wait, let me look at the legs. I sip tenderly as the flavors fill my mouth, still no labels or words come directly to mind. In an attempt to be witty I pulled out my “Wine Bible” got lost in the Italy pages read on to pg.404 under Apulia, now I know why I am so fond of Primativo. Oh, just now I remember a favorite affair with a bottle of Zin. I can totally picture it, Cline! Now off to San Francisco we go!

Mmmmm…. Zinfandel is zinfully zelicious It is one of my favorites, although I do have to confess to having a penchant for the ones from the Paso Robles region

‘Bin doing ZAP for 15 years now. Wouldn’t miss it and would love a pair of freebies (for once). Hope the new venue is as good as it’s been in the past. Hard to top the bay views at Fort Mason. Can’t wait to try the new Biale, Brown, Turley, D Cubed, Outpost, Rosenblum, and Seghesio (I can never seem to try them all). Drink Zin…nice!
