Napa Valley and Sonoma Limo Tours – Try T3 Tesla Tours

There are any number of car, limo and driver services across wine country with varying levels of service, professionalism and vehicles. We were fortunate enough to spend a day touring with Napa’s T3 -Tesla Tours and Transportation. Instead of the standard limo or SUV you can find anywhere, we toured in a sexy, new, all-electric $100,000 Tesla S sedan. On top of that, Tesla Tours is no more expensive than most other services. Interestingly, all their fees and packages include taxes and driver gratuity, so total costs are disclosed up front. A great go-to red for that next BBQ or pizza party. Look for this wine on sale…sometimes under $15. Blended from Syrah, Merlot and Malbec with a nose of cherry, plum and spice. A soft mouth-feel with just touch of acidity and smooth tannins. Flavors of dark berries, black cherry, spice and dark chocolate. Notes of espresso and cinnamon on the finish. Buy This Wine

2009 Trione Vineyards & Winery Geyerville Ranch Red Wine, Alexander Valley Appellation,  CA, $48 (S) – Rating 92

This classic Bordeaux blend of 69% Cabernet, 12% Merlot, 7% Petite Verdot, 6 % Malbec and 6% Cab Franc is elegantly powerful with a delicious balance of fruit, acidity and jaminess. Decant for 30-45 minutes for full flavor development. Enticingly rich nose with abundant aromas of ripe dark fruit, spice and blueberry with notes of dark chocolate and espresso. Soft yet apparent tannins with layered flavors of dark cherry, plum brown spice and blueberry. Notes of espresso in the long finish. Buy This Wine

Looking for a real crowd pleaser red wine? This Nebbiolo will fit the bill. Only 13.5% alcohol, light to medium bodied, perfect for BBQ, hot wings or pizza. A very subtle and soft nose with cherry and floral notes. Soft on the palate and easy-drinking offering a mouth-full of cherry, strawberry and red berry flavors. Buy This Wine

2010 Giordano Chianti docg Riserva , Tuscany, Italy, $ (S) – Rating 90

A superb go-to red wine blend of 90% Sangovese and 10% Canaiolo that will pair with anything from pizza to tomato sauces and lighter meats. A full nose offering aromas of dark cherry, camp smoke and spice. The wine has a soft and juicy mouth-feel with plenty of fruit. Lower in alcohol at 13%, give it at least 30 to decant for full enjoyment. Well integrated tannins with flavors of cherry, plum and oaky vanilla. Buy This Wine
