A fantastic Chardonnay from our favorite Chardonnay AVA. 65% barrel fermentation adds structure and 50% secondary fermentation creates a lush creamy mouth-feel. Too elegant to be called a butter-bomb, Artesa has a wonderful balance of oak and butter (butterscotch). Tastes more like a $30 wine.
Maybe the best Texas Chardonnay I’ve had. Nice notes of fruit with a touch of butter and honey. Unfortunately, it is only available for purchase in the Pheasant Ridge tasting room in Lubbock, Texas.
This is one of our favorites. While some call this style “overblown” with oak and malolactic fermentation, it sat like an buttery kiss on my palate.
Another example of those bold, oaky, buttery Chardonnays we absolutely love. However, Trinitas has a bit more elegance and balance than some others we enjoy, allowing to pair better with spring and summer foods.
Highly recommended! Excellent balance of oak and butter with a bit of fig and citrus.
