Not overtly jammy with supple tannins and round acidity. The palate will be treated to integrated flavors of blueberry, blackberry, black cherry and brown spice. The vineyard was planted in 1916 with an Italian field blend of  Zinfandel, Alicante Bouchet, Petite Sirah, Napa Gamay and Chasselas Dore’. The blend creates a distinct richness without being jammy. A full nose of blackberry, boysenberry and black cherry. Juicy acidity with flavors of blueberry, blackberry and boysenberry with notes of raspberry and spice in the long finish. The nose is rather fruit forward with aromas of dark fruit, plum and blueberry pie. Full-bodied with dark fruit flavors blended with notes of ripe strawberry, plum and a touch of blueberry.
