The 2010 Van Duzer Pinot Gris is a zippy dry wine with nice round flavors of pear, honeysuckle, apple and white fruit. A touch of ripe pineapple citrus rounds out the flavors of this beauty. This proprietary blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Malbec with a few others offers up well integrated flavors of blackberry, red cherry and cedar with enough spice box to make it interesting. Soft tannins add complexity to this easy drinker. Perfect for a hearty meat or Italian dish.

Light both in color, nose, this “naked Chardonnay” offers mild flavors green apple, apricot with a touch of grilled pineapple and a hint of lemon. The finish has some pretty zippy acidity that should allow it to pair well with lighter summer meals.

A super “go to” Cabernet from Common Dog. Well integrated flavors of dark cherry, cassis, saddle leather, a hint of smoke with soft tannins. This lighter style Cabernet is especially good on warmer evenings when a big chewy Cab is just too much. Great BBQ wine. Tip – Give this Cab a little time to open up. It improves significantly after about 30 minutes.

A full-flavored unoaked/non-malolactic Chardonnay. Beautiful flavors of tropical fruits, ripe pineapple, melon, citrus with a rich mouth-feel with hints of honeycomb on the finish. The clean flavors will appeal to fans of “naked Chardonnays” while the full fruit expression is big enough to satisfy an oak leaning palate.
