Wowser is it good! Wine Spectator gave this wine 90 and Wine Enthusiast gave it a 91, well-deserved scores. A full bodied Pinot with a velvety texture with big tannins that balance the bold fruit.

2008 – Carneros – Napa Valley, CA – $50 — Rating 86

Winemaker notes: Our 2008 Pinot Nero is full of ripe cherry and cranberry aromas with overtones of spice, rose petals and wood smoke. Flavors are bright at entry, deepening to a lush vanilla-tinged mid-palate and lingering through the silky finish.

Winemaker Notes – A brilliant medium-full color, the wine shows buoyant aromas of fresh cherry and strawberry, with plenty of wonderful beet root character typical of Pinot Noir.

2007– Russian River – Sonoma, CA $35 — Rating 92

Let’s see, what term should I use to describe this wine? I think I’ll go with “WOW!” Great restaurant wine because it is beautiful from the minute the cork pops.
